Career Opportunities with the Department of ChemistryThe Department of Chemistry at the University of Winnipeg invites applications from outstanding Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree (postdoctoral experience preferred), with research interests in any area of physical chemistry. The successful candidate is expected to develop a strong, externally-funded research program, involving students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to contribute to teaching at the undergraduate level, including in their area(s) of expertise. The University of Winnipeg (www.uwinnipeg.ca) is committed to excellence in research and undergraduate teaching. The Department is undergoing a period of rejuvenation with the anticipated hiring of several new faculty members, the development of a new graduate program, and the recent move into our new state-of-the-art Richardson College for the Environment and Science Complex (September 2011). Excellent opportunities are also available for collaboration with researchers at other Winnipeg-based institutions, such as the University of Manitoba, the Freshwater Institute, the National Research Council Institute for Biodiagnostics, and the Prairie Research Institute for Materials and Energy (PRIME), and for supervision of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
